Nut Driver

A nut driver is a manufactured tool that is primarily used for tightening nuts and bolts. The nut driver is made with a socket that is attached to a shaft and cylindrical handle. A nut driver typically has a hollow shaft to have the capacity for a shank onto which a nut is threaded. A nut driver is popular to use in the electronics industry. Other features of a nut driver includes a T-shaped handle, a ratcheting handle, sockets with recessed magnets for holding fasteners and flex shafts.

A nut driver is similar in appearance to a screwdriver. A screwdriver is a tool for driving screws. It assists with rotating other machine elements. A common screwdriver is comprised of a cylindrical handle, an axial shaft and a head. A nut driver and screwdriver can be made in a number of different sizes, shapes and colors. An electric nut driver may also be available for purchase in some locations.
